I’m so glad you made time to see me || Taylor & Taylor

taylorswiftrp:

Taylor couldn’t do this. She shook her head, bit her lip. She made it clear that she just wasn’t okay as he spoke. She’d finally told him how she felt, but it didn’t matter anymore. It was funny because as much as he seemed to care about Diana she could feel there was a part of him some small piece that still loved her. That really loved her. She just looked him in the eye as he said that – I love her like I loved you. She shook her head at him, her mouth open. “No you don’t.” She said, a sick little smile pulling at one corner of her lip.  “Because if you loved her like you loved me you wouldn’t be sitting here.” She took a last sip of her coffee and put some coins on the table.

Standing she closed her eyes so that she didn’t have to see his face for just a moment. It was burned in the back of her eyelids. “I can’t do this.” She said, resting her hands on the table and turning to him. Her eyes pleaded please come back. Her chin trembled her lips shaking. “Look, I’ll be waiting if you decide to come back or try me back on for size. “Or when she messes up and leaves.” She was speaking softly so that she didn’t cause too much of a scene, but there were still eyes on her. Of course there were. She was Taylor Swift.

After a long moment she took a few deep breaths and smiled. “can I have least have a hug goodbye?” She asked, biting her lower lip and looking away. One last thing to remember about him before she went. “Maybe we can be friends or something.” She breathed, afraid to say the words. Afraid to admit that she had lost him and would maybe never get him back.

“Because if you loved her like you loved me you wouldn’t be sitting here.” What was that even supposed to mean? “Uh, Taylor. I came here to try and make things okay between us. Yes, there is a part of me that will always love and care for you, because we were serious at one point, but I still love Dianna to pieces. Why can’t you understand that?” He didn’t get why she was being so stubborn at this whole situation. It was quite frustrating. He just wanted to snap, but he knew that wasn’t an option. Not in public, not anywhere, he just wasn’t that type of guy.

All Taylor could really do was stare at her dumbstruck, his jaw hanging slightly open at the situation that was playing out in front of him. “Yeah… whatever.” He muttered, giving her a quick embrace before pulling away to step out of the booth, pulling his shirt back into place. “Yeah, sure.” He said quietly, his gaze on the ground as he gave his muscular shoulders a shrug. “Whatever you’re comfortable with.” He added before grabbing his coffee cup to take a quick sip before locking his eyes on hers once again, hoping to find an answer… any answer to all the questions swimming within his mind.

I’m so glad you made time to see me || Taylor & Taylor

taylorswiftrp:

Taylor couldn’t stop. She just couldn’t. She had to get this out. It had been eating her alive since that night. Since she realized how badly she’d messed up. She didn’t believe that he’d have stayed.. She shook her head, a tear falling to the table, her blue eyes raising to meet his brown ones. Her chin trembled and she fought to look away, biting her lip. He didn’t say it back.

He didn’t say it back. “Yeah, I guess.”  She wiped a tear away with the back of her hand, swallowing hard. Shit happened. Shit like losing someone you loved more than anything to someone else. Things like being so unsure of yourself that you left someone who wouldn’t have hurt you. Things like that. They happened. Her mind was racing, but she was fighting back to hold the tears. She’d asked for him back, and been refused. “No.” She couldn’t have called. “No, because you deserve better than what I gave you.” She managed through a sob, looking away from him again and licking her lips. Her cheeks were turning blotchy from the tears, but she was still a very sad kind of lovely. Someone that shouldn’t have to cry.

“I know you’re happy now, and I shouldn’t be coming back like this.” She said, bringing her coffee up to her lips, taking a drink. “I know you’re happy, and I don’t blame you if you don’t want to come back.” Her cup was back on the table, and her eyes traced the rim, her fingertips tapping on the wood. “But just know that … what I feel for you. I’ve never felt it before. And I can’t make it go away. If you can just please forgive me and come back.” She pleaded with her eyes, another tear running down her cheek. “I promise I’ll make it right.” She would never hurt him again.

Seeing her hurt was never his intention, and it wasn’t like he got some sick pleasure from it either. Sure, what she did to him hurt like hell, but he wouldn’t even wish it on his worst enemies. He slowly watched each tear fall from those blue eyes that could easily mesmerize the man, they always had that affect on him, “Stop putting yourself down. You know you made a mistake.. You can’t keep beating yourself up over it.” He voiced honestly. He shook his head softly and removed his index finger from underneath her chin. This is nuts. He thought to himself before his index finger traced the rim of his cup slowly, trying to recollect his thoughts, if that was even possible at this point.

“Well, yeah… I’m with Dianna…” He muttered. If she had come back at any given point in time before he met Dianna, he probably would’ve taken her back. The apology she was laying out to him was the honest to God truth. He could tell by the tone of her voice and the look of pain in her eyes. It was real. He let out a soft sigh before scooting out of the booth where he sat, traveling over to her side, sitting down next to her, wrapping her up in a tight embrace. “This whole situation just sucks, I know… But I can’t just leave Dianna because you apologized…” He said softly, turning to her cheek gently so they were now facing each other, their faces only a mere few inches apart. “I love her like I loved you… Leaving her to be with you is just… not fair to her, Taylor.”

Of course Taylor really cared about her, she was his whole world at one point in time like Dianna was now. He would always care about her. But leaving Dianna obviously had the risk of getting hurt again, and he couldn’t do that. Plus, he couldn’t leave her, she meant so much to him. But in the end, he couldn’t make everyone happy, no matter how much he tried with every fiber in his being, it just didn’t seem possible at this point.

Are you happy to be able to hurt her the way she hurt you?
- With love, Anonymous.

Um. That wasn’t my intention? I wish I could say I’m sorry for falling in love with Dianna but I can’t because I’m not. I didn’t mean to hurt Taylor, I didn’t know she still felt that way considering we hadn’t talked in so long. So no, long story short I’m not happy I’m hurting her. I don’t want to hurt anyone. No one deserves to feel that much pain.

I’m so glad you made time to see me|| Taylor&taylor

taylorswiftrp:

“It’s been so long.” She commented. There was so much between them that she didn’t know how to fix. “I guess I’m hoping you’ll let me say what I need to say before you get up and walk out on me.” She said, pursing her lips and sighing. She didn’t seem horribly happy about that. She could tell that maybe she still had part of his heart, but so did someone else. Someone who was probably better for him than she was. She lingered another moment, waiting or who knows what. Her nails tapping on the tabletop, blue eyes just watching them.

“When I wrote that song, Taylor, I was crying.” She began, looking up at him again, her eyes locked onto his. “All I could think was about how I had messed up and ruined everything. That you had moved on and I had hurt you.” Her hands twined in front of her, trembling lightly out of fear – or sadness. “I missed you every single day. I missed every moment with you. I miss you so much sometimes I can’t even breathe.” He knew the lines, but he didn’t know what had happened behind the scenes. “I know you’ve heard it all. I know I sang it. I know it will never be enough, but I keep hoping that maybe if I say the right thing you’ll let me have another chance.” Her eyes were so sad, so pathetic, almost teary by now. “I should never have left. I should have held on for dear life. But truthfully, I was scared. I was scared that you would hurt me like everyone else. I felt more for you than anyone else, and everyone has always left me.” A single tear rolled down her porcelain cheek, and she bit her lip, finally looking down at the table. “I was scared you would leave like everyone else so I left first. But I love you, Taylor.” She was positively trembling, staring into her coffee as if it might hold the answer.

“And I’m sorry I didn’t call on your birthday.”

There it finally was. All the truth, lies, and secrets that had been building up for the last two years inside the blonde, they have finally all came out. It was somewhat nice to actually hear it from her though, instead of a tabloid, or a song that she had written. He sighed at the last sentence she spoke, “Taylor… stop. It’s fine. I know,” He spoke quietly, his voice cracking a bit. This wasn’t easy for him either. Re-visiting the painful past of the lonely nights staying up crying, punching his pillow asking himself why he wasn’t good enough for her… What he did to make her want to end things. He thought everything was going good in the relationship. But that frigid December night proved other wise. “I wouldn’t have left…” He commented in the middle of her sentence, only for his heart to stop in the middle of his beat. But I love you, Taylor. “Love?” He questioned with his mouth hanging partially open. After all these years… Who would’ve thought. He noticed that she was crying. He noticed she regretted what she did. With that, his hand came up from his lap to lift her chin up, allowing them to make eye contact. “Don’t cry, I know you’re sorry. Shit happens, right?” He asked raising a single brow. Probably the truest statement he’d speak all night.

The thoughts going through his mind right now were ridiculously confusing, frustrating, and saddening. “I’m sorry that this has been building up in you for two years… You could’ve called, ya know.” He whispered softly.

I’m so glad you made time to see me|| Taylor&taylor

taylorswiftrp:

Taylor hadn’t seen this one coming either. She figured she’d manage to avoid Taylor for as long as possible, but no. She’d been the one to talk to him. She hadn’t realized that was why nothing else had worked when she’d started to try. She was stuck on someone new  - she was stuck on Taylor. Not Joe anymore. How she always managed to mess things up when they were perfect. Her blue eyes followed a running Taylor out of his car. The one she’d sat in so many times, on the passenger side. Where she’d watch him laugh. Laughed with him. He was just the same. He still had the same tan skin, but his smile didn’t seem quite as sweet as before. Maybe it was just her projecting her feelings, but it seemed like he was still stuck on her too. She could only hope.

“I ordered coffee.” She said as he came over. She could smell his cologne, and she stood, stepping into him to embrace him. She wore the same sweet perfume. Not her own that she would normally have worn. No, the one she’d worn when she was with him. The one she saved for him. That she could hardly wear anymore because of the memories attached to it. “Please, sit. Stay a while.” She said, after holding him just a little too tight for a little too long. She even gestures at the seat across from her, taking her own and crossing her legs, glancing up at the waitress who was coming with their coffee.

“’s been a while since I saw you two love birds here. I heard you broke up.” The waitress said, looking between them. Taylor turned bright red, her eyes on her coffee, fingertips running along the rim. For a half second it looked like she might cry. “We did.” She finally managed, looking back to the woman with a very forced smile.

“I ordered coffee.” Of course she did. She always did, that was just a typical routine for them, not that he minded. His brown eyes flickered from the blonde to the two coffee cups now placed on the table, “I can see that, uh. Thanks.” But before another word could fall from his lips, he was wrapped up in an embrace. An embrace that was once his addiction, everything he needed. It was like deja vu. Those arms, that waist, the smell of her perfume, and the blonde ringlets that his cheek pressed against. He was hesitant at first, completely unwilling to wrap his arms around her again. He didn’t want to, not one bit. But as he realized the girl wouldn’t let go, he couldn’t help but hug back for a few seconds.

From the small gesture, he seated across from Taylor, crossing his arms at his chest as he watched her every small movement and expression appear on her face. It was awkward to say the least. He knew there would be awkwardness but not this much that enveloped around the two. There was so much left unsaid, so many things that he didn’t want to resurface but he was sure that’d she bring it out of him, no matter how painful it would be. The waitresses small comment only made it all the more awkward. Noticing Taylor’s cheeks stain a light red color, he furrowed his brow and took a deep breath. They had only been here for less the five minutes. Great.

“We did.” Obviously. It was all over the news for months on end, how Taylor Swift the infamous girl known for getting her heartbroken had actually broken someone else’s for a change. Only he would know the feeling and it sucked. Every second of it. All Taylor could do was sit there quietly as his gazed stayed locked on his lap. He pulled out his phone for a few seconds to send Dianna a text message. He couldn’t help it, he felt like it was needed to be done. She was worried something would happen and he couldn’t blame her for that, not one bit.
